The intention of Unity Linux is to create a core distribution from which other branch distributions are built. Because of this requirement, it will be kept as minimal as possible but with as large a base of software as possible.

While Unity Linux is not intended for everyday non-technical users, it is trivial to download, update packages and otherwise customize it to produce a unique distribution. Reasonably experienced Linux users might begin with Unity Linux or choose a branch out of convenience. Non-technical users will have their choice of branch and community.

The Unity Linux team has many members, some coming from different sites and projects. Feel free to check out list of developers.
